These are fully interchangeable allowing operation in various conditions without the need to change the running gear.
Comprehensive soundproofing cuts noise levels to a minimum while visibility is excellent thanks to low level windows and carefully positioned working lights. For superb ventilation, the 804 has a two-speed heater/demister, an opening windscreen and a side window.

Load sensing hydraulics improves digging performance and overall fuel efficiency by adjusting hydraulic pressure according to need.
When working in confined areas, the boom can be offset 90o to the left and 50o to the right. For the maximum in versatility, an extensive bucket selection is available, ranging from 230mm (9in) to 1200mm (4ft). A wide range of dedicated attachments can also be harnessed to the machine via the single or double acting auxiliary hydraulics. A long dozer with a wide deep profile is combined with the impressive tractive effort performance. This makes light work of dozing, grading and backfilling jobs even in the toughest conditions.
RELIABILITY AND DURABILITY
Tough wrap-around counterweights protect the side and rear end against impact damage. The rear engine cover, which is lockable, includes high-density polythene panels for impact and scratch protection.
The tough polycarbonate instrumentation panel houses the fuel gauge, hour meter and a range of audio-visual warning lights.

The tracks are grease tensioned for effortless adjustment. To minimise soil retention in the undercarriage, the machine has sloping track side-frames and cantilevered top rollers. Plus, the extra wide steel track chain, sealed lubricated idlers and rollers ensure long, trouble free service.
The track motors and undercarriage hoses are completely enclosed for maximum protection. Guarding on the hose couplings on the rams, along the full length of the boom ram and on the rotary coupling further limits the possibility of damage.

With a single six piston variable pump using dual outlets and an integral gear pump, load sensing provides automatic adjustment of machine effort to match site demand. Together with automatic boom boost, it helps cut cycle times for greater productivity. Heavy-duty electrical components, such as the battery and alternator, make the 804 very reliable at starting in cold conditions.

OPERATOR ENVIRONMENT
The spacious European sized cab provides exceptional levels of operator comfort. An ergonomic layout, a fully adjustable seat and joystick operated servo controls all help cut fatigue. There's also a suspension seat as an optional extra.
SERVICEABILITY
The rear bonnet opens wide or can even be detached to provide excellent service access to important components such as the main hydraulic relief valves. The battery sits on a swing out platform for improved access.
