PURPOSE-DESIGNED PROTECTION
The dipper is specially reinforced. Strengthened plating allows it to handle the extra loads generated when using heavy duty grapples. And with a strengthened rear plate, it is protected when material is gripped between an attachment and the underside of the dipper.
Strengthened bucket linkage and stronger lever links help withstand the high forces generated when handling large crushers and hammers. An extra large bucket ram is fitted to the JS220 increasing crushing/pulverising forces.

10mm plate protects the entire underside of the mainframe while a hinged section allows easy engine servicing access. It's flush fitted to ensure that the reinforcing steel bar doesn't catch on the underside when the machine is turning.

To protect the superstructure and machine rear from re-bar damage when slewing, extra replaceable buffers are fitted on its left-hand and right-hand sides, and all around the counterweight.
The reinforced turret belly guard protects the vulnerable centre of the machine. Being flush fitted, it will stop the reinforced steel bars, common on demolition sites, from penetrating the machine belly.
HEAVY DUTY
Heavy duty and flush fitted covers safeguard the track motors from re-bar and all other debris. All hoses and pipe work run inside the undercarriage framework for total protection.
The engine air pre-cleaner removes many of the heavy dust particles found on demolition sites before they can reach the standard air filters, while a fine mesh grille helps keep the radiator clear. Both help minimise maintenance.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
An optional merged pump facility in the hydraulic system allows high flows to be delivered to the dipper end via the optional combined pipe work for fast operation of larger hydraulic attachments. The combined pipe work provides two way flow for attachments such as cutters and crushers, and a one way flow facility for hammer fitment.
Low flow auxiliary pipe work is available as an option for controlled operation of rotational attachments.
SUPERIOR COMFORT
The optional air conditioning maintains operator comfort when doors and windows are closed.
The strong cab guard is FOPS tested which offers superb protection for the cab and operator from falling debris. Minimal obstruction from cab structures and the roof window ensures maximum forward and overhead visibility.
